# Eudaimonia AI Kernel

## Access Model
- The kernel's API is not publicly callable. Requests need credentials issued by the operator.
- The kernel is not open source; no public repo exists for the core runtime.
- OSS libraries extracted from the kernel are available on GitHub (see header).

## Agent-as-a-Service (AAASP)

- Requires an operator-issued bearer token (401 `missing_token` without one)
- Async agent execution: returns 202 with run_id immediately; add ?sync=true to block until completion
- Backed by Oban queues (Phoenix/Elixir) with PostgreSQL persistence
- Measured throughput: ~65 req/s at 200 concurrency
- Body: agent_id, input, config, webhook_url

## Specialist Routing Health (public, read-only)

- Per-specialist circuit state and success/failure counts

## What the kernel does (not public endpoints)
- Runs agents the way an OS runs programs: scheduling with deadlines and cancellation, supervised restarts, per-program resource ceilings
- Routes each request to a specialist (7 answer with a model: coder, researcher, data scientist, market analyst, intelligence analyst, communicator, egghead), each confined to a kernel-enforced tool allowlist
- Model tool use: web search and rendered page fetch with sources, sandboxed code, allowlisted email
- Swarms (several specialists on one question in parallel, merged) and plans (a goal decomposed into a dependency graph of specialist steps)
- Approval gate on sensitive tools and spend; per-user isolation of sessions, knowledge and files
- Model gateway for agent harnesses (OpenAI Chat/Responses, Anthropic Messages) that forwards requests unchanged, plus an MCP server (operator-only)
- Tamper-evident hash-chained audit log over every tool execution and approval decision, persisted and re-verifiable from genesis
